AF COVER AIR

AF COVER AIR are protection which allows ventilation and suction points to be inserted on REI false ceilings other than membrane false ceilings, ensuring fire resistance that would otherwise be compromised.

Easy to remove and reinstall during maintenance. AF COVER AIR is sized to cover a wide range of air diffusers on the market. It consists of a glass fabric, the external part is aluminised, the internal part is coated with an intumescent paint. For the protection of the flexible spiral air intake/suction pipe, a special collar is supplied to be applied on site, securing it with a metal clamp. The product is flexible and designed to adapt to all types of diffusers.

 

AF COVER AIR means the design is not based on the fire resistance integrity of the false ceiling on which ventilation points have been inserted. The product low weight and flexibility make it easy to install without overloading the false ceiling structure. AF COVER AIR is much easier and faster to apply than a mineral fibre sheet structure.

APPLICATION METHOD

  1. place the AF COVER AIR protection on the air diffuser;
  2. make a cross-shaped incision with a cutter at the diffuser’s larger part;
  3. insert the diffuser neck through the hole made in the cover;
  4. cut the remaining AF COVER AIR triangular sections;
  5. insert the duct in the diffuser’s neck;
  6. apply AF COLLAR around the duct keeping it above the metal edge of the diffuser neck with the appropriate locking tabs facing downwards;
  7. secure the collar and duct with a metal pipe clamp.

 

 

PACKAGING AND STORAGE

On pallet or cardboard boxes.

If the product is stored under standard conditions, there is no storage time limit.

 

 

SPECIFICATIONS
