AF COLLAR

AF COLLAR is EI 120/EI 180 fire protection which secures wall and floor combustible pipes for sanitary, rainwater, vent, insulated, multilayer, corrugated, plastic pipes, also when bundled together and which contain electrical cables.

AF COLLAR is a cylindrical stainless-steel element, containing one or more layers of intumescent material with high thermo-expansion power that allows complete internal space sealing when heated. During a fire, the tube deforms due to the heat and progressively burns while the intumescent part of the collar expands until it occupies the entire internal space, ensuring resistance to smoke and flames.

CHARACTERISTICS

Appearance:                             stainless steel collars with intumescent stripes;

Activation temperature: ± 180° C.

 

APPLICATION METHOD:

  1. open the collar and place it around the pipe;

  2. close the collar by using the locking tab;

  3. place the collar so that it can adhere to the wall/floor;

  4. if applied to floors and concrete walls, secure with metal plugs (8x60 mm);

  5. if applied on plasterboard walls use self-tapping metal screws.

 

APPLICATIONS

AF COLLAR has been tested on:

  • combustible ordinary and multi-layer pipes (PVC, PP, PE);

  • combustible pipes with a maximum inclination of 45°;

  • to protect combustible pipe bundles using a single collar, including multi- layer, corrugated or non-corrugated pipes or those containing electrical cables;

  • insulated metal pipes coated with aluminium cupels;

  • combustible pipes passing through false ceilings;

  • insulated metal pipes passing through false ceilings;

  • for double AF PANEL applications.

 

AF COLLAR is certified for wall applications on the fire-exposed side or on both sides depending on the application.

If the product is stored under standard conditions, there is no storage time limit.

SPECIFICATIONS

Supply and application of the AF COLLAR firestop collars. AF COLLAR firestop collars have a stainless-steel circular structure which contains Firefill intumescent material for EI 120/EI 180 protection of wall and floor penetrations of combustible pipes, combustible pipes with electrical cables and insulated non-combustible pipes. The diameter will be chosen depending on the installation.
